Wedding Gown to Angel Gowns dress deconstruction

I have washed my gown,  deconstructed it, ironed the pieces.  The hem was too stained, so I cut it off.  There are a couple of stains I will have to work around but it is now ready to cut

Wedding Gown to Angel Gowns

This is my wedding gown.  I made it myself back in 1971.  It's very simple in design.  No underskirts or tulle.  The material is Peau de Soie.  It has lace roses down the front and around the back, lace on the sleeves and neck edge.  Three buttons on each sleeve.  Pearls on the roses.

It has sat in my hope chest for 43years.  I am going to attempt to remake it into Angel Gowns for Angel Gowns for Dignity.

Stephanie's Engagement

Christmas Eve 2014, Gabe asked Stephanie to marry him.  We  were all sooo happy.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve 2014,

Dad opened the painting of Mom. I think he liked it.

Next stage in painting of Mom.  Almost done.  Now some touch ups.

Zentangle butterfly on black paper with white pen and colored jelly roll pens
.
Watercolor, pen and ink butterflies I did for Cheryl Bliss for Erins birthday.

Next stage in painting mom.  I worked on her sweatshirt and Crystal, her dog.  Crystal needs a little face shaping.  Mom's sweatshirt is a very royal blue in color,  I toned it down with some orange.  Needs a little more work around the arm.  In the picture I'm working from, she has two dogs in her lap, but that didn't work with the composition, so I eliminated one.

This picture should be a little clearer

Mom, oil on canvas

This is an oil painting I am doing of my mom.  She was sitting in her  kitchen with her two dogs and kitten on her lap.  The two dogs were a problem so I removed one.  This was one of her happiest time. Family, friends and her pets.

This is probably the fourth stage of this painting
