Angel Gowns

Angel Gowns I made from my wedding gown

I finally finished these Angel Gowns.
 They were not all that difficult. Went together easily.
 If I hadn't been sick, they would have been done sooner.

Now to deliver them to Angel Gowns for Dignity.

This was my original gown.  

What a wonderful use for something that 

has been in my hope chest for 43 years.

Wedding Gown to Angel Gowns Cutout

I cut out the Angel Gowns, I wasn't able to cut out as many as I would have liked.  I wanted 12 but only got 9.   2 large, 2 medium, 3 small and 2 micro premee.  My Wedding Gown wasn't that large or full.  

 This is the cutting layout from the back of the dress.

This is the cutting layout from the other back piece of the dress.

 This is the layout for the front of the dress.  There is a spot in the middle of the front piece.  I had to cut out the top and bottom dress, then move the middle dress to avoid the spot

  

 This is the new layout for the middle gown, avoiding the spot.

Nine gowns cutout, bodice and sleeves left over.
